The People Behind the Movement

Community transformation requires native intimacy. Our team is led by pastoralist women, legal advocates, grassroots mentors, and institutional governance specialists who live and work natively across Kajiado County.

Strategic Leadership

Jedidah Lemaron

A native daughter of Kajiado, Jedidah founded The Malkia Initiative in 2016 to bridge the gap between high-level policy frameworks and the harsh, unvarnished realities of the Manyatta.

Having navigated the systemic barriers facing pastoralist girls firsthand, she spearheaded Malkia's 1,000-Day Protection Framework, the Olgulului boarding modernization project, and cross-border anti-FGM mediation protocols. Under her stewardship, Malkia has grown from a grassroots volunteer circle to an accredited institution with over 26,000 girls reached.
