Scaling Proof to 32,000 Girls

Our 2025–2029 Strategic Plan outlines our path from proven grassroots proof points to county-wide institutional transformation. We are deepening investments in foundational learning, eliminating the primary-to-secondary drop-off, and creating permanent protective safe spaces.

The Core Directive

The Roadmap to 2027 & Beyond

Having sustained 26,009 unique adolescent girls and youth since 2015, Malkia is executing a targeted operational roadmap to de-risk rural education pipelines across all 7 operational wards in Kajiado County.

Our model links school infrastructure to community legal enforcement. By establishing safe boarding facilities, we remove girls from early betrothal routes and ensure 100% completion rates through secondary school.

The Three Pillars of Systems Change

Our verified theory of change operationalized across three interconnected pillars.

01

Girl-Centered Programming & Advocacy

Centering adolescent girls as active change agents rather than passive beneficiaries.

  • Crown Clubs: In-school human rights and leadership safe-spaces across 20+ partner schools.
  • Voices Uncut: Survivor-led peer networks preventing cross-border FGM trafficking.
  • Sauti Ya Dada: Secondary school leadership, STEM acceleration, and self-efficacy coaching.
02

Building Evidence & Sharing

Translating rural frontline field data into legislative advocacy and county policy reforms.

  • KUZA Field Logs: Quantitative numeracy and literacy benchmarking datasets.
  • Protection Tracking: Rapid reporting data shared directly with county administrative chiefs.
  • Policy Briefs: Biannual whitepapers informing Kajiado County legislative budgeting.
03

Resourcing for Her

Engineering physical infrastructure to remove economic and distance friction from education.

  • Safe Dormitories: Boarding modernizations to eliminate dangerous 15km school commutes.
  • Pad Banks: Year-round menstrual hygiene kit distribution to eliminate absenteeism.
  • SheRISE TVET: Vocational centers providing technical trades for teen mothers.
